Required number of words per age category : ( I.D. may be required as proof of age )

1. Ages 9 - 10 : minimum 200 words
2. Ages 11 - 12 : minimum 300 words
3. Ages 13 - 14 : minimum 400 words

Submitted essays will be kept as the property of BrainChild Education Center.

Essays will be marked subjectively by the BrainChild Education Center’s department of English.

FIVE essays from EACH age category will be chosen for the FINAL Contest. These successful candidates will then be required to appear at the ABERDEEN CENTER on Sunday, OCTOBER 18^th , 1998 at 10:00 am where candidates will be given a time limit of an hour and a half to work on an essay.
