BrainChild Education Centers are institutions specialized in tutoring Mathematics and English for both enrichment and remedial purposes. Established in 1990, BrainChild Education Center is committed to strengthening students' analytical and reasoning skills through our tailor-made teaching materials and professional guidance. Our success has enabled us to expand into a network of over 30 education centers in North America with the total number of students reaching 5,000.

BrainChild is a pioneer in effectively adopting computers as a teaching tool. A foundation to our beliefs is that colourful graphics and diagrams displayed on computers facilitate students’ grasp of various concepts, thereby turning the traditional learning process into a lively exploration of knowledge.

On the basis of the guidelines from the Ministry of Education of Ontario , Ministry of Education of British Columbia and other standards in the United States of America , we develop our own teaching materials. The exercises are carefully formulated and tested to provide students with enough drilling in different aspects. They enable students to have a complete revision of their learned topics. As an educator, we encourage students to develop their potentials and make progress whenever possible. Therefore, if students are capable of learning something ahead of their day school curriculum schedules, they can proceed to learn and practise it under our step-by-step guidance. This learn-at-your-own-pace approach renders the learning process more flexible and prepares students for their future academic needs.

To provide students with the opportunities to digest their knowledge and to challenge themselves, we enthusiastically promoted and participated in the annual national mathematics contests organized by different authorities over the past few years. Outstanding students are selected every year to participate in these contests. With their efforts on mathematics under our all-round guidance, the participating students were able to achieve remarkable results. In 1995, a student from our school won a Gold Medal in the Pascal Contest of the Canadian Mathematics Competition, a contest organized for ninth-graders by the University of Waterloo . BrainChild, as a result of the prominent performance of the students, was ranked Number 11 among the 1,474 participating schools throughout Canada in the contest. These results reveal that students can demonstrate their flair under proper guidance and that their hard work is rewarding. They also reveal that BrainChild has accomplished its commitment to education with its combined uses of various resources. They confirm BrainChild's reputation and parents' confidence in us.

BrainChild Students' Successes in Mathematics Contests

Over the past ten years, we promoted and encouraged our students' participation in two well-received nation-wide mathematics contests: the Canadian National Mathematics League organized by the University of Windsor , and the Canadian Mathematics Competition organized by the University of Waterloo . The former aims at assessing students from Grades 4 through 8, the latter at those from Grades 7 through 13. Our students obtained very encouraging results in them.

In 1995, our students achieved excellent results in these two contests. In the Canadian National Mathematics League, a sixth-grader won himself a place on the list of the Top 10 Students in Ontario. Our students' remarkable overall performance made us the 6th Best School in Ontario and the 12th Top School among the 753 participating schools across Canada. In the Canadian Mathematics Competition, a ninth-grader outperformed several thousands of contestants and won a Gold Medal. Because of our students' outstanding results, BrainChild was ranked 11th among the 1,474 participating schools from coast to coast!

Our students' achievements show that BrainChild is dedicated to strengthening students' mathematical knowledge and intellectual growth through our enriched programmes. They confirm the fact that parents can trust us for a better education of their children.
